Welcome to our Website
Newcastle Town was founded in 1988 by Jane Fenton and Bernadette Hancock who wanted to set up a netball club for players in the Newcastle area.
What started as a group of 7 friends playing netball now is a club with 18 teams and 150 members, and still growing.
At Newcastle we believe that all players regardless of ability should have the opportunity to play.
To this end we have our top teams in all age groups who play at regional level, but we also have the other members of the club who want to play either for enjoyment or to keep fit (usually both).

We have teams playing in all divisions of both the Stoke on Trent winter and summer leagues and the Alsager summer league. Our top team play at regional level in the West Midlands Regional League. Our under 19 regional development squad play in the 1st division of the Stoke on Trent League. The junior division all play in the Staffordshire County Development League on a Sunday.

We also believe in coach and umpire development which is essential to the development of the club, we are the only club in Staffordshire to have an A award umpire (we have 2 now). We also have level 3, 2 and 1 qualified coaches so that all coaching is by qualified coaches. The training of umpires, coaches and volunteers is essential to the club and we ensure that all our members are kept up to date with the relevant courses.
All our coaches and umpires are volunteers who care passionately about netball and Newcastle Town and as a club we are always looking to improve and involve further people in the game of netball.
The club is proud to be the first and only club in the area to achieve their Gold accreditation certificate. This was further added to last season by the club winning the England Netball Nextgen Award at the Goalden Globes.
