Achievements - Next Gen Award

Newcastle Town Netball Club has a series of Coaches, from Level 1 to Level 3 and and Umpire and Tutor/Tester. These figures are utilised in mentoring other members in the club to help them develop Coaching and Umpiring skills and qualifications.

The club has an effective process for recruiting new and young Volunteers. It begins at High 5, where Y6 are encouraged to Umpire, take warm ups and coach younger players.

The process continues with older players trying new roles and working to support younger players. Players who assist are given small rewards, such as whistles and Captain Awards help to recognise players who have given something extra to the club. Furthermore, those who give extra time Volunteering, are rewarded and supported with trips to watch Superleague.

The club has raised awareness of Volunteering by providing volunteers for local events and by making a video for EN to promote Netball and Volunteering.
